The European Union’s Directive on Data Protection prohibits the transfer of personal data to non-EU countries that do not provide an “adequate” level of privacy protection. Safe Harbor certification permits a “certified” entity to transfer personal data from the EU to the United States in accordance with the EU Directive.
Our Safe Harbor self-certification stands as our commitment to the U.S. Department of Commerce that our security and privacy policies comply with the Safe Harbor framework.
