Compliance Policy Certification for a More Defensible Compliance Program
In today’s business environment, it is vital that compliance officers can rely on a compliance policy certification system that lets them do more than just store policies.
An integrated approach requires a compliance policy certification system that will allow ethics and compliance managers to see:
Which employees certified to which policies, on which date
Which version of a policy was in effect at any given time
Whether employees made any disclosures against a policy
Whether employees have requested exceptions to a policy
It’s not enough to show your employees the policies, you have to be sure they read them, understood them and attested to them. An integrated compliance policy certification system will also include reporting, so you can see, for instance, whether you have a gap in understanding in any particular policy area, for instance, which would let you quickly roll out additional training to close that gap.
To be defensible, your organization needs a compliance policy certification system that will give you the insight to make better business decisions, not just a policy storage mechanism.
