The Network has been providing ethics and compliance programs for almost 30 years and I have been working with our clients for 16 of them. It is very interesting, almost ironic, that the above listed principles have, to a great extent, stayed the same over the course of time. Strong ethics awareness and training programs have long been enlisted by best-in-class organizations. And why not? The Corporate Executive Board recently released new data that indicates that integrity has a tangible impact on corporate performance. Results like shareholder return, improved employee performance, and reductions in misconduct were cited. And what is one of the best ways to affect these behaviors and drive this performance? Communications. Clear, concise, supported by management, relevant, and engaging.
It is not always easy to put together, but the returns are phenomenal. In fact, it is really a no-brainer.
