Mecklenburg County is committed to effective fraud prevention and detection. As a Mecklenburg County employee, you can be instrumental in preventing fraud within the organization.

The fraud hotline is a confidential way for County employees to report concerns without fear of retaliation. Employees can use this hotline to report illegal, unethical, or improper conduct that occurs in the workplace.

Issues that should not be reported to the hotline:

  • Day-to-day management issues
  • Employee grievances (harassment, retaliation, unsafe working conditions)
  • Benefits and compensation questions or concerns
  • 911 Emergencies

The information you provide will be sent to County leadership by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if you should choose. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.

To Make a Report

After you complete your report, you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
