The Network Announces Antitrust and Competition Law Course for Ethics & Compliance eLearning

November 14 2012

Latest ReadyTraining™ course uses new interactive activity to engage employees to comply with antitrust legislation, promote a competitive workplace

ATLANTA – November 14, 2012 – The Network, Inc., a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced the release of its newest ReadyTraining™ eLearning course entitled “Antitrust and Competition Law: Promoting a Competitive Workplace,” designed to help organizations keep their employees informed about applicable antitrust and competition laws and how to remain compliant.

Developed in partnership with noted law firm FSB FisherBroyles, LLP, the Antitrust course provides a high-level overview of relevant legislation while explaining the purpose of these laws, who they apply to and the consequences of violating them. Using ReadyTraining’s interactive exercises and engaging narrative style, the course reviews antitrust issues with relationships among competitors, customers and suppliers, explaining what employees need to know about monopolization and mergers and acquisitions.

“In most organizations, employees don’t fully understand what the law says about antitrust, and they can easily cross the line into illegal activity for the sake of increasing marketshare,” said Jimmy Lin, vice president of Product Management and Corporate Development at The Network. “Antitrust can be a mundane topic, so our new course strives to engage and even excite employees so they understand these risks and are able to identify the red flags that signal misconduct.”

Lin continued: “The Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice is expected to secure more than $1 billion in fines this year. Training and awareness are key to protecting your organization from these kinds of penalties.”

The ReadyTraining “Antitrust and Competition Law: Promoting a Competitive Workplace” course also includes a newly developed interactive exercise called “Decision Point,” an immersive inline activity that educates employees on a variety of gray-area topics by having them make a series of selections and then viewing the consequences.

ReadyTraining is a suite of cost-effective, ready-built courses that can be configured to reflect client-specific messaging, branding and policies. The courses are available in multiple languages and accessible via mobile devices to support global enterprises. ReadyTraining is designed for quick deployment and provides an engaging, interactive experience along with critical metrics, administration and certification tools.
