Regional Sales Manager - West Coast
As a Regional Sales Manager for The Network, you will be an integral part of our growth strategy focused on delivering a suite of systems and services to the mid-market segment in the Western U.S. region. Ideal candidates will currently be located within this region. You will be responsible for selling our integrated GRC software-as-a-service platform to mid-market customers through a consultative approach. Key groups you will call on include: Ethics and Compliance, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and Legal. These groups are focused on ensuring that their respective companies are setting the highest ethical standards, minimizing risk, and monitoring compliance to the governing policies of the organization. Using your knowledge of The Network’s platform and related services, you will proactively engage both prospects and customers to develop relationships, gain their confidence, by clearly understanding their needs, advising the best course of action to resolve their issues, and establishing long-term service contracts as part of The Network’s growth strategy. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to expand The Network’s business relationships with the existing customers in the same region through effective, regular communication about The Network’s growing SaaS and related-services offerings, understanding their business needs and constantly looking for new and creative opportunities. You will:
- Develop and execute account-level sales strategy plans to generate new business opportunities.
- Generate interest among buyers through prospecting, lead response and networking.
- Develop and maintain an opportunity pipeline to support year over year revenue goals.
- Negotiate contracts and close business.
- Be a part of and collaborate with internal teams including client operations, product management, marketing, and IT, to formulate solutions and execute program plans.
- Work with Client Operations to insure the development and delivery of solutions on time, within budget, and to expectations.
- Regularly communicate with and report progress to management through established tools and processes.
This is an outside sales role requiring travel up to 50% of the time.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3 years software or technology services sales experience in a business to business environment.
- Ideal candidates will be located in the Western U.S. region.
- Proven success in growing and managing a pipeline with a proven track record of consistent success. Creativity in getting through to buyers.
- An understanding of GRC market and/or SaaS selling strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability/success with presentations to VP and C level executives.
- Consultative technology (i.e., assessing needs, developing solutions to meet needs) experience required. Ability to sell comprehensive packages and services including technical and non-technical products
- Experience building long term relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent probing, needs identification, and listening skills
- Strong prospecting and networking skills
- Effective priority and time management
- High integrity with a results-oriented approach to the role
- Self-motivated, requiring limited direction and oversight
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- PC Literacy (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite) required. Proficient in Salesforce.com
