LMS Implementation Specialist

As the eLearning Implementation Specialist for The Network, you are responsible for delivering services to tier 1 customers. This is a new position that has been created in response to growing demand for our products and services. Additionally, you will:

  • Act as Implementation Manager for certain tier 1 and tier 2 accounts, leading customers through their LMS setup and customization or web-based course content deployment.
  • Ensure “Above and Beyond” support is delivered to customers and that they are fully satisfied with the level of customer service delivered.
  • Escalate technical issues to the 2nd level technical support team and interact with the sales and account management team.
  • Act as SME and 1st level technical troubleshooter for eLearning technologies such as LMS, SCORM, AICC, Internet browsers, and content authoring tools.
  • Conducts LMS training sessions on an as needed basis.
  • Use basic project management skills to ensure customer facing goals and timelines are met.

Required Experience and Skills

  • College degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience administering multiple learning management systems (LMS).
  • Understanding of eLearning technologies, such as SCORM and AICC.
  • Solid understanding of eLearning authoring tools as they relate to learning management systems. Examples include Adobe Captivate, Articulate Presenter, and TechSmith Camtasia.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, Flash, and JavaScript, familiarity with XML.
  • Extremely detail oriented and accurate – if the small things bug you, that’s a good thing.
  • Strong pro-active communication skills. Must be highly articulate and write well.
  • Must be self-directed
  • Ability to manage change effectively and work in a fast paced environment with a focus on simply getting the job done.
  • Must be a naturally organized person – if you like lists, and make lists, and live by lists, this is a good place for you.
  • Must have excellent technical skills and enjoy technology.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be a strong leader willing to speak up and push for what you know is best for the customer and therefore the company.
  • Must have strong customer service and diplomatic skills.
