Javascript Developer

We seek an engaged and innovative Javascript Developer with strong web development experience to help build and enhance our company’s revenue generating software products. You will work with an agile team, using an advanced and flexible software stack which includes a Javascript MVC thin server architecture, single page application. Some of the technologies we’re using are: Require.js, Handlebars, jQuery, CoffeeScript, Sass (Compass), and Jasmine. Efficient and professional personal methodologies, such as Behavior Driven Development or Test Driven Development, are expected. Clean, readable, and maintainable code is also expected. In addition to your immediate team, you will work with an empowered Product Management group, QA, and creatives.

In addition, you will:

Use knowledge of new technologies and open source software that facilitate front-end web development to create business solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations
Interact with design, backend and product teams on application usability, features and performance
Mentor team members, specifically with front end programming concepts
Work with quality assurance to ensure a high level of quality in the software product

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong presentation-layer skills with expert knowledge and passion for front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES5)
Demonstrable understanding of BDD/TDD
Keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of website design best practices
Creative approach to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution
Must be comfortable in an environment where ideas and code are subjected to scrutiny
OS X or *nix experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Publicly available Open Source experience
Demonstrable understanding of various options in the NoSQL space
A publicly available blog or other public examples of written communication (StackOverflow.com for instance)
Demonstrable understanding of a non-Microsoft development stack
Experience with international multi-lingual web sites
Vim
Ruby, Python or Node
CoffeeScript
