As the Database Administrator you will be responsible for providing operational database services to the organization.  The role is part of our close knit Network Operations organization and as such has 24/7 rotational on-call duties and responsibility for general troubleshooting of servers, networks, and SANs on a rotational basis.

The Day-to-Day:

Partnering with the Senior DBA, Network Operations, and Product Development teams, you will:

  • Administer the databases that make up the production, development, and QA environments.
  • Be responsible for installation, backup/recovery, patching, troubleshooting, monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant for The Network, you will have primary responsibility for all accounts payable processing. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and other team members find ways to streamline and improve processes, particularly in the areas of expenses, cash receipts and shipping invoices.

The Day-to-Day:

Working with your team you will:

  • Schedule payments and prepare checks.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries and maintain payment terms. Verify federal id numbers. Monitor vendor discount opportunities.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Validate purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment accuracy and retain proper documentation.
  • Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos; Issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing expense types and by budget.
  • Process employee expense reports in Concur or in Excel. Process and approve expense reports for proper approval, expenditures in accordance with policy and ensure submission of proper receipts and expense documentation.

  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions and accrue for month-end accruals.
