Marketing Communications Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Communications Manager will bring solutions, fresh ideas, and out-of-the-box thinking to The Network’s comprehensive solutions offering. This individual will be responsible for leveraging best–in-class functional expertise, B2B know-how and communications skills to create customer facing tools across a wide range of channels including; literature, brochures, paid-media, PR, trade shows, client events, Web 2.0, Internet and video. This position will also be responsible for large scale trade-show management and client events with a focus on high ROI and lead generation.
Specific duties include:

  • Work with other marketing professionals within the department, product management, sales and others to write and/or supervise the creation of content that can be re-purposed in multiple formats (hard copy, online, video) and in a manner that assures the company’s brand, offering and competitive advantage.
  • Facilitate the distribution of product communications elements for use across the organization, third-party distributors, trade-shows and partners and  update these materials throughout the product’s life cycle.
  • Collaborate in the creation of advertising and /or public relations content and materials.
  • Project manage campaigns with  in-house creative agency and/or additional third party vendors (creative agencies, public relations agencies, printing vendors, etc.) to ensure collateral and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage trade-shows and large scale client events including logistics, planning and promotions with a heavy emphasis on ROI and lead generation.
  • Work with marketing to assist in production of new marketing campaigns to further lead generation and create awareness of product enhancements.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the marketplace including competitors, relevant legislation, etc. within market verticals as they relate to product lines and suggest changes to current marketing campaigns to best serve the objectives of the organization. Research findings and make recommendations to marketing, sales and product management as needed.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and identify solutions to problems as they present themselves and apply learned techniques.
  • Must possess exceptional communications skills and have the ability to effectively interact with high-level individuals both inside and outside the organization.
  • Must possess exceptional project management skills.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 7 years marketing experience required in a business-to-business environment
  • SaaS or technology focus preferred
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated experience developing creative concepts for multi-faceted communications campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience managing large scale trade-shows and client events
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Aggressive and persuasive in communications
  • Effective priority and time management skills
  • PC Literacy Required (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Communications or Marketing) required
